Ex-servicemen who have served their country proudly paraded through Dereham on Sunday as the town held its first Veterans' Day event.
The national event was introduced in 2006 to ensure the contributions made by all those who have served in the armed forces are not forgotten.
Dereham's Royal British Legion organised the local celebration, which started with a parade from Cherry Tree car park and past the war memorial in the Market Place, where a salute was taken by Wg Cmdr Simon Ellard, commander of the forward support wing at RAF Marham.
Dereham Band led the parade, which continued through the town centre and to St Nicholas Church, and included 10 standards and a number of ex-servicemen as well as local councillors.
A Veterans' Day service was then held in the parish church.
Wg Cmdr Ellard said: “It is fantastic to support this day and it is great to see so many standards flying proudly and the fantastic band gives it the right sense of ceremony.”
