Villagers in Bawdeswell will be able to watch the latest films closer to home after receiving a grant to fund their own cinema.
The Bawdeswell Activities Group has been awarded 2,192 to purchase cinema equipment that will allow them to screen blockbusters and silver screen classics from Bawdeswell village hall.
Plans are already in place for a monthly film screening and a film club once the village hall acquires a new entertainment licence.
The grant was funded by the Norfolk Community Foundation's Grassroots Grants Fund who provided previous financial support to the Bawdeswell Activity Group in 2007.
