Young people with mental health issues can attend a free event to provide them with information about coping with their conditions.
Friends and relatives are also invited to the event, ‘Pause for Wellbeing’, at Gressenhall Farm on Saturday, June 9.
Six organisations will be participating in the event: the Norfolk and Suffolk NHS foundation trust; Norfolk county council children’s services; the Norfolk library and information service; the YMCA; the NHS healthy child programme; and the Norfolk museums service.
Howard Tidman, senior practitioner at Northgate Hospital in Great Yarmouth, said: “Although the event is aimed primarily at 4-18 year olds, we will welcome parents with mental health issues, children aged 0-4, young adults and those who are interested generally in mental health and wellbeing,”
The museum will be open from 10am to 5pm, with workshops at 11am, 2pm, and 3pm. The event is free and there is no need to book.
