Woman died after fall down stairs

A 50-year-old woman died in hospital from head injuries after falling down stairs in a complex of flats where she lived in Dereham.
The woman - who has not yet been named - had been out on Friday evening in the town but was found at the bottom of the stairs by friends at Beech Court, just off the High Street.
Police said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the woman's death and a report will be sent to the coroner and an inquest will be held.
An ambulance crew was called at about 9.45pm and took her to hospital, where she later died.
Police were called at about 11.20pm and the area around the scene where she was found was cordoned off.

Detailed inquiries were made and people who knew her were spoken to by officers. One man - aged about 50 - was arrested and helped with inquiries but has been released on bail.
