A woman who suffered from a stroke and lives with Parkinson's disease is going to display her artwork at a public exhibition in Dereham.
Janet Goodman, who lives at the Eckling Grange Christian Care Complex in Dereham, was once an accomplished artist but her life changed direction when she was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
The degenerative disorder has taken its toll on her lifestyle but a return to her passion has given her a new focus and renewed sense of purpose.
She recently displayed her work at the care home and it proved to be such a success that she intends to display it at a public venue in Dereham throughout March.
Her exhibition will be held March 1 – 31, 2018 at Norski Noo’s Gallery in Dereham. There will be 25 pieces on display and for sale, with the proceeds being donated to support local services and research by the Alzheimer’s Society.
