Five teams of Dereham Golf Club juniors and adult helpers enjoyed the last Monday Club of the season by playing a Texas Scramble.
Played over seven holes, each of the four members of the teams played their part by having to take at least one of their drives.
With only one shot between all the teams the quartet led by junior Joe Crane, along with Andy Brown, Freya Biles, and eight-year-old Toby Bennett won on countback, having scored an eagle on the fifth hole. Each member of the team received a bag of chocolates and all other players were given bars of chocolate as the 2017 Monday Club season came to a close.
Monday Club runs from April to August and is primarily for junior members without handicaps, giving them a chance to practise their golf on the course under adult supervision.
Dereham's junior season continued with the Alec Porter Shield and the Bob Lees trophies on Bank Holiday Monday.
