Liam Palmer, 16, from Dereham has been studying Taekwon-do for seven years, has spent the last five competing all over the UK and is an undefeated junior champion at regional, national and international level.
Liam Palmer, 16, from Dereham has been studying Taekwon-do for seven years, has spent the last five competing all over the UK and is an undefeated junior champion at regional, national and international level.
The Neatherd High School student dreams of competing in the Olympics and his instructor, local ITF representative 6th Degree Black Belt Tod Wurr, said: 'Liam's dream can now become a potential reality with the demise of the political issues that has surrounded the sport for many years. Having the Olympics in London has opened up the sport to all styles of martial artists who, like Liam, have the potential to win gold for their country'.
Liam, who trains in Norwich under the Anglia Academy of Taekwon-do has got a few hard months ahead preparing for the trials in Manchester in 2010.
