Dereham Ladies 4, Chelmsford II 1
DEREHAM Ladies hosted Chelmsford and made heavy work of winning with two late goals at the end of the second half.
A win was vital for Dereham in order to maintain their challenge for promotion.
Dereham pressured Chelmsford from the start with Evie Van Poortvliet powering her way into the D which Hannah Palmer finished off to make the score 1-0.
Van Poortvliet could not be contained by the Chelmsford defence and her persistence paid off with a goal from open play after 24 minutes.
Chelmsford hit back soon after half-time and then the energy seem to drain from Dereham and they held on until 10 minutes before the end.
Dereham woke up, tore the Chelmsford defence apart and Van Poortvliet scored her second and Becky Wheeler the fourth to secure the win.
Dereham are away to Thurrock at the weekend and need to win again.
