Finals at Wembley and Carrow Road are within Dereham Town's grasp as within four days they chase FA Carlsberg Vase and Norfolk Senior Cup glory.

The Magpies boosted their confidence for Saturday's FA Carlsberg Vase fifth round tie at Needham Market with a 5-2 Ridgeons Premier win at Wivenhoe.

While they were securing third place in the table, their Vase hosts were being beaten 2-1 at home by second-place Kirkley & Pakefield and are now eighth in the league.

Dereham are sure of a large band of travelling support on Saturday, who will be back at Aldiss Park Tuesday night to cheer their side on against Wroxham in ther Norfolk Senior Cup semi-final (tickets 5/3).

Dereham hope to be at full strength for their FA Vase trip to Needham Market.

Left-side midfielder Craig Terrington should have recovered from a hamstring injury and goalkeeper John Higgs was rested at the weekend and is due to return to the side.

Needham Market are due to carry out a 10am inspection on Saturday and with more wintry weather forecast, there will be plenty of fingers crossed that the game goes ahead.

If it is postponed or if there is a draw, the rearranged or replayed match would be on Saturday, February 14.

Dereham club secretary Ginny Barnes said she hoped for about 100 Magpies' fans and a crowd of up to 500 is expected at Needham Market.

A supporters' coach leaves Aldiss Park at 12.45pm and other fans are expected to make their own way there. Another coach with players and officials leaves earlier.

Seats on the supporters' coach are 6 (4 if you travelled to Larkhall in the last round). Contact 01362 690460 for bookings.

Tickets to the match are 6 (3 concessions) on the gate.

Needham Market were named team of the round for their victory over last year's winners AFC Fylde in the fourth round.

The FA Vase was on show in Needham Market on Tuesday - and Dereham will be hoping it is the only time the trophy is in the Suffolk town!

Dereham gave goalkeeper Nathan Baker his debut on Saturday in place of the injured Higgs. And any nerves he may have had must have been eased by early goals from Olly Willis and Paul Atkins - who went on to complete his hat-trick before the break. Ronaldo Wright struck twice for Wivenhoe in the second half, but Graham Barrett completed the Magpies' nap hand.
