Brandenham Cricket Club ladies opened up their season with a win.
The team won away at Great Witchingham on Thursday evening. The match was their first in the county softball ‘100’ series in which the club were losing finalists last season.
Great Witchingham batted first and set a good total of 294 although they lost several wickets on the way which proved costly in the end.
The Bradenham ladies produced a more disciplined innings losing only 2 wickets in the process and finishing on a very respectable 345 at the close.
The Bears’ captain Megan Herbert commented: “We’re really pleased with tonight’s performance and great to get off to a good win. Everyone played their part against a good Witchingham team.”
