Norwich City fans are calling for someone at the club to take accountability for the players’ poor performance on the pitch and address the anger over the planned Carrow Road shake-up.

Supporters are placing increased pressure on management at the club over the lack of consultation for the plans to move 3,000 ticket holders from the stadium's River End.

The player’s performance on the pitch has added to fans’ fury with the team currently at risk of relegation to League One.

Supporters have taken to social media to vent their anger at the club’s bosses, saying: “Surely Knapper isn’t sat in his office thinking that this situation is fine or good enough?”

“We look so disorganised and the players look undermotivated.”

The Canaries’ terrible season continued in Tuesday’s game against Derby when they suffered their fourth consecutive defeat.

Angry season ticket holders plan to hold a sit-in protest against the proposed changes at Carrow Road at their next home game.

Cedric Anselin, who played for Norwich City from 1999 to 2001, said: “It would be good if Ben Knapper comes out and speaks.

“Give his view on the current situation.

“Some clarity for the fans, which they deserve, they are the heart of the club.

“Liam Manning finds it difficult to bring the best out of the players.

“Someone should be held accountable for it.”

MyFootballWriter columnist Gary Gowers, a City fan who is being forced to move as part of the stadium shake-up, said: “Someone at Carrow Road really needs to read the room.

“It’s typical of the club’s terrible PR and contempt for their supporters that they have today announced that the changes are going ahead even if we get relegated.”

He added: “This group looks wholly incapable of winning a game, any game.

“We have a head coach who’s a terrible fit for Norwich City.

“A sporting director who is way out of his depth.

“An assistant sporting director who’s a yes man.

“And a de facto CEO who’s merely a hangover from a failed regime of the past.”

The stadium will be renovated across four phases, including River End fans being moved.

He added: “The club have appeared disdainful of any talk of sentiment.

“It’s been very badly managed.”

Fans have also been taking to social media to vent their anger at the club.

One posted on Twitter: "Manning out, take Knapper and Webber with you too."

While another said: "Who are Norwich? Do we even have a team?"
