Swanton Morley Cricket Club will hold its annual meeting on Thursday, October 28, 7.30pm at the Angel Inn.

The club is a member of the WNCL, playing in Divisions One and Four next season, and also plays in the MNSCL Division Three.

There is an ongoing large project to replace the old wooden changing rooms with a new brick-built pavilion which will provide toilets and showers and all modern facilities.

These will enhance the development of youth cricket which is already very popular and well-subscribed.

Great efforts will be made to encourage cricket for girls, with the intention of forming under-13 and under-11 teams, specifically for girls.

Several club members are qualified coaches and excellent training facilities are available, with special coaching sessions for youngsters throughout the season.

All club members are urged to attend the meeting and a warm welcome is also extended to any other prospective members and everyone interested in becoming involved in village cricket.

Non-playing officials who could be scorers or umpiresare also invited.
