BRADENHAM Cricket Club held its annual dinner and presentation night at Reymerston Golf Club on Friday, attended by nearly 60 players and guests.

Chairman Ian Moody praised the efforts of all the club's teams, senior and junior, following another successful season.

Chairman Ian Moody praised the efforts of all the club's teams, senior and junior, following another successful season. The very youthful first team did extremely well to retain their position in Division One of the Norfolk Alliance. The A team secured promotion into Division Four of the Alliance whilst the Sunday team were runners-up in the Derek Cousins Sunday League Division Two.

The youth teams also competed well in their county competitions with several outstanding individual displays. Another enjoyable season with the club continuing to grow and go from strength to strength.

Trophies were presented by Dave Bates of Blueprint Mortgages, the club's main sponsor.

The main awards presented were: First team player of the year, Rob Thurley; A team player of the year, Mike Taylor; young player of the year, Rob Thurley; most improved player, Marcus Evans; Sunday player of the year, Brett Stolworthy; U15 player of the year, Jordan Cantwell; U13 player of the year, Will Dewing; U11 player of the year, Todd Cantwell; clubman of the year, Peter Hills.

Ten more Norfolk cricket clubs have been awarded the prestigious ECB Clubmark accreditation.

Bradenham, Brooke, Diss, Swaffham, Norwich, Great Witchingham, Downham, Cromer, Sprowston and Saxlingham all achieved accreditation in 2009, bringing the total number of accredited clubs in the county to 28.

Fakenham and Hales had their Clubmark status re-accredited after three years.
