THE top two teams in Anglian Combination Division Two played out a thrilling draw in front of a good Hale Road crowd.

Play started at a furious pace and after just four minutes Wanderers took the lead through a Garrod volley from outside the box.

A quick break by CEYMS ended with a shot just wide. On 10 minutes another break on the left produced a fine cross which was cleared for a corner by Woodcock.

This was converted with a near-post header for 1-1, and within five minutes CEYMS took the lead from a penalty.

Forder attempt at an equaliser went wide then on 18 minutes a CEYMS in seemingly acres of space on the left went on to score with a fine shot for 3-1.

On 21 minutes Bush scored from a free-kick then Forder headed just wide after good work involving Bush.

On the half hour Bush was fouled for a penalty and the offending defender was sent off. Woodcock converted the spot kick for 3-3.

On 34 minutes Palin ran on to a high bouncing ball and volleyed over the bar.

On 42 minutes Palin rounded the keeper but shot past the post.

Right on half-time, the same player ran on into the penalty area to slip the ball past the keeper to give Wanderers a half-time lead. A Bush free-kick floated just wide then home keeper Findlay was brought into action with a brilliant reflex save from a volley.

Then on 65 minutes an excellent cross from the visitors right wing was expertly headed home by their No 10 to bring the scores level yet again.

CEYMS were not hampered by their one-man disadvantage, their midfield duo dictating much of the play. Bradenham's Frappell volleyed over a gaping goal after a good cross from Spalding. Palin's great volley was deflected over for a corner.

On Saturday, Bradenham - seven points behind CEYMS but with four games in hand - are at Attleborough.
