Bradenham Wanderers 3, Horsford 2

Bradenham entertained mid table Horsford for their first game of 2013.

For the first few minutes both sides struggled to pass the ball in the heavy conditions. A good pass from Bradenham's Craig Foster led to a good strike from Karl Bush who was unlucky not to score.

Horsford nearly scored when a defensive mistake gave a forward a shot on goal which went wide.

As the half went on Bradenham began to apply pressure to the Horsford defence and created a couple of chances which went wide. In the 35th minute Bradenham took the lead when Foster scored with a neat finish.

Bradenham started the second half well and soon scored when Luke Dagg scored with a low shot from the edge of the box to put Bradenham two up.

It was now Horsford who went on the attack, putting Bradenham under heavy pressure. Rick Melton defended well, keeping the forwards at bay and Bradenham keeper Jason Spalding also made several good saves.

In the 75th minute Horsford pulled one back when a shot came through a group of players to beat Spalding. Bradenham then went 3-1 up when Bush scored with a tremendous shot from 18 yards giving the Horsford keeper no chance.

Horsford scored shortly afterwards after being awarded a penalty. The visitors continued to apply the pressure, hitting the bar three times in the last 10 minutes and were unlucky not to get an equaliser.
