BRISLEY saw hosts Horsford elect to bat on a hot afternoon, and they lost their first wicket on 27, Collinson caught by Taggart at short mid-wicket for 12.

A change of bowlers at both ends paid off with W Longworth and D Abel both taking wickets to leave Horsford on 72-6.

Harvey (26) and Snelling (35 not out) held the innings together and with the help of some wayward bowling Horsford reached 161-8.

Brisley's R Websdale and Nev Cook had the score on 49 when Cook was bowled for 12. P Websdale soon went for a duck and Brisley were in trouble. But Mayes and R Websdale pushed the score on to 94 when Mayes was out for 22.

Brisley lost more wickets but with Roy Websdale passing his 50 Brisley still looked on course for victory. R Websdale was out for 66 but Robert Longworth (30 not out) and D Websdale (1 not out) saw Brisley home with one wicket to spare, Brisley's first win in seven games.

A good all-round performance with W Longworth taking 4-43, R Websdale making 66, R Longworth 30 not out. The two young tailenders Daniel Cook and Danny Websdale batted well under ressure.
