It was a busy week for Dereham Indoor Bowls Club coaching team.

A mat was put down on the Recreation Ground for the town's carnival and many came along a gave bowls a go.

Earlier this month the club were invited to Neatherd High School for their sports day. an impressive total of 66 pupils tried their hand at short mat bowls on the club's portable rink. Arrangements are now being made to run an after school bowls club for the next winter term.

Last Saturday the club held an open day, which was not as busy as official had hoped it would be, but hopefully those who attended will become club members.

This Saturday, from 10am until noon, the club will be starting a six week coaching course for anyone wanting to learn to bowl.

Anyone interested just needs to turn up on the day at the club based at Dereham Leisure Centre, on Station Road, with all ages welcome. Contact Terry for more information on 01362 525042.
