Three Dereham Runners Juniors were part of the 40 Norfolk Junior Sportshall team who travelled to Birmingham for the Aviva Sportshall national finals.

U13s Luke Copping and William Moore both competed in the team relay events, and Luke also put in a PB in the high jump with 1.35m, and in the shot William threw 7.79m. Jamie Abbott was in the U15 boys' team, competing in the 4x2 relay, standing long jump (2.10m) and speed bounce (66).

The juniors all received Norfolk hoodies and Sportshall final

T-shirts.

Coaches Garry Slattery and Jenny Norton were also there, with Garry as a time-keeper and Jenny as U15 boys' team manager.

All four teams finished in 10th place, but all the juniors had a brilliant day.

Some were able to meet Olympic bronze medallist Kelly Sotherton, who was the overall U15 girls winner in 1992.
