Dereham Junior Runners AC had 11 entrants for the Norfolk Sportshall County Championships held at the UEA Sportspark, Norwich on Saturday and produced three county champions and a total of 10 medals between them.

U13 Boys: Anthony Buckley, gold and county champion in the four-lap race (50.6), silver in the six-lap race and bronze in the high jump (1.25m). Devon Ithell, gold and county champion in the speed bounce (74), bronze in the shot (5.61m) and 29.5 in the two-lap race. Timothy Buckley, bronze in the standing long jump (1.84) and 27.7 in the two-lap race .Josh Whitnall, two-lap race (30.2), triple jump (4.40m) and shot (4.60m).

U13 Girls: Rebbecca Howard, four-lap Race (59.8), vertical jump (32) and two-lap race (27.1).

U11 Boys: William Moore, gold and county champion in seated ball throw (7.50m), bronze in the standing long jump (1.91m). In the two-lap race, William ran 26.7, which took him into the semi-final where he ran a time of 27.7, but did not reach the final. Ryan Martin, bronze in the speed bounce (46), two-lap race (28.6) and four-lap race (63.4). Isaac King, two-lap race (28.1), two-lap hurdles (31.3) and seated ball throw (4.0m). Robert Buckley, two-lap race (27.8), speed bounce (44) and two-lap hurdles (31.6).

U11 Girls: Tegan Ithell, bronze in the seated ball throw (3.75m), two-lap race (39.2) and two-lap hurdles (41.5). Octavia Campbell, two-lap race (30.9), standing long jump (1.28m) and speed bounce (44).

The juniors train Mondays and Thursdays at Neatherd High School from 6.30-8pm and the first and third Saturday in the month. New members are always welcome.
