Cricketers take to the oche
Dereham Cricket Club have organised their own version of Sky's Premier League Darts. Eight members of the club, who play regularly, have formed their own league to raise funds for the cricket club.
Dereham Cricket Club have organised their own version of Sky's Premier League Darts. Eight members of the club, who play regularly, have formed their own league to raise funds for the cricket club.
Players will walk out to their own music, have a pre-match interview shown and even a sponsored shirt or two.
Darts captain Gary 'The Darling' Starling said: 'This will be a first for Dereham CC. If it is popular we will try running two leagues next time.'
The action begins on Monday, 7.30pm at the Cricket Club, which is based on Norwich Road next to the fire station. The players comprise of Starling, Gary 'The Pearl' Harbour, Neil 'Buzz' Irons, George 'Shotgun' Watts, Tom 'Thumper' Head, Duncan 'Stella Fella' Hewitt, Billy 'The Bully' Bailes and Jimmy 'Double Trouble' Lovell.

Everyone is welcome to come and watch the action unfold, which will take seven weeks to complete.
The club is also looking for a new shirt sponsor for the next two years, also for companies to advertise on boards situated around the ground.
