Dereham Town have applied to go up a league if they finish in the Ridgeons Premier top three – and ahead of Leiston who have also put in a bid.
'The deadline for applications has run out,' explained Magpies' manager Matt Henman. 'You have to apply for it at this stage of the season.
'From our point of view, we would like to be in the position of going up a league. You apply and then put it on the back burner.'
'We have to finish in the top three. We have given ourselves a good chance but we are only halfway through the season,' said Henman.
'Leiston have applied too so it will be whichever team finishes highest who goes up. It's just one team.'
