GOLF: Dereham Golf Club's junior members on Bank Holiday Monday played for the Worthington Trophy, sponsored by Dillington Hall PYO.
The competition saw some excellent scores at all levels. George Bedwell took the trophy with a net 65 (91-26-65), followed by Will Cross (74-8-66) and Nic Cains (73-6-67).
There was an extra prize sponsored by Big Fry, Dereham, for the best gross score, won by Nic Cains.
In the nine-holes competition Morgan Blanks stormed ahead with a net 31, Liam Kevern took second place with a net 35.
There was also a five-holes competition which saw Maisie Farrelly win her first competition. Prizes were presented by GMC chairman Stuart Bizley.
The Captain's Junior Prize and Larking Gowen Championship is on Sunday, June 26 at 1pm.
Dereham Golf Club will host its annual Junior Open, sponsored by Smith & Pinching, on Friday, August 5, tee times from noon.
