Following on from their commanding 4-2 victory against Cambridge University II, Dereham travelled down to the capital for their latest East League Premier A fixture.
The Olympic Park setting did nothing to shake the nerve of a resurgent Dereham side, whose previous home performance was described by one spectator as 'the most complete Dereham performance in many years.'
Within minutes of the push back, Dereham opened their account with a fine goal from Falko Rosbergen.
This was followed shortly after by a second goal for the in-form Dereham side after captain Ed Turner was first to pounce on the scraps following a penalty corner.
At the break, Dereham found themselves two goals to the good, but at the resumption of play they had to weather significant periods of pressure from a hungry Wapping II side, who were second in the table going into the game.
The Dereham goal was protected with some medal-worthy saves by Collinge but eventually the dogged Wapping team scraped a goal against the resolute Dereham defence.
At 2-1, Dereham were in no position to count their chickens but any thoughts of a home comeback were dashed when and an excellent solo goal from Rosbergen rounded off a confident Dereham performance.
