Swimmers from Dereham Otters have been competing at the East Region ASA Championships.

The senior championships took place at Luton and younger swimmers' championship at the UEA Norwich. Six swimmers from the club achieved the qualifying times to compete against the region's fastest swimmers.

Charlie Summer, Callum Steadman, Molly Monk, Ruby Dagless, Chris Searle and Kioni Broomfield raced in a variety of events from 50 metre sprints to 1,500 metre freestyle.

Many of the swimmers achieved personal best times and gained places in finals. Ruby claimed gold in the 200m and 100m butterfly and bronze in 200m and 400m individual medley. There was also a bronze for Molly in the 200m breaststroke, and bronze for Callum in the 1,500m freestyle.

Head coach Chris Searle said the tally of seven medals is the Otters' best result at the Regional Championships.
