Ten competitors from Dereham Runners Athletics Club took part in the Broadland Half Marathon on Sunday with Craig Bowen-Jones and Guzel Sari engaging in a fast, but friendly, private race that saw the two runners finish in 1:27.13 and 1:28.18.

Fine, dry conditions on the course around South Walsham saw several Dereham Runners perform well, including Andrew Hood, pb of 1:35.37, Michael Barrett 1:52.38, James Nice 1:55.41, James Davis 1:57.08, David Olley, a pb of 1:59.56, Martin Strowger 2:03.59, Caroline Fletcher 2:10.05 and Amanda Baker 2:15.32. Andy Hood raised £300 for the CLIC Sargent charity.

Brian Titchiner completed the Bath Half Marathon in 1:42.05, while Philip Websdale notched up a best at the London Vitality, in 1:55.46. Elizabeth Daly, Emma Adcock and Toni Tarrant ran for charity at the Thorpe Forest 10k trail run, with Elizabeth the first female home in about 45 minutes.
