West Norfolk/Dereham runner Nathan Protheroe travelled down to Reading to represent Norfolk in the UK U17/U20 Youth Development League on Sunday.

This was his first time competing in this league after missing the first two meetings in Norwich and Bromley due to injury. After scoring well in the long jump where he came fourth next up was the 110m hurdles where he put in a good performance coming in first place with a time of 17.0 sec in the B race. Later he ran the first leg of the 4x100m relay where Norfolk finished fourth in 45.49.

Elsewhere earlier that week three junior runners attended the open performance meeting in Great Yarmouth. U11 boy Ethan Barrett in the long jump jumped 3.31m and in the 100m ran 16.3 which was a PB and new club record. U13 boy Louis Preston ran 100m in 15.8 (PB), 200m in 32.7, long jump 3.08m (PB) and javelin 16.08m. U15 girl Beth Barrett set a new PB in the 100m with 14.3 and ran 29.9 in the 200m.
