It's a case of as you were at the top of Division One of the Norfolk Alliance, with the leading three sides all winning.

Diss were restricted to 163 at Thetford, but then bowled their hosts out for just 77, while second-placed Swardeston A edged past Bradfield's total of 146 for the loss of seven wickets.

After two successive abandonments Dereham finally got back to winning ways – and in emphatic fashion too – when they romped home by seven wickets after bowling Vauxhall Mallards A out for 93.

The victory left Duncan Hewitt's side just one point adrift of Swardeston and 32 behind Diss, with a game in hand on the leaders.

After winning the toss and electing to bowl first, Dereham dismissed Mallards in the 20th over.

The visitors had made a decent start, with opener Joe Larter contributing 36, but once the top three had been dismissed they collapsed like a pack of cards,

Hewitt was the most successful bowler, taking 4-13 in just 3.3 overs.

In reply the home side raced to victory in less than 19 overs, with Daniel Lake's unbeaten 30 helping them over the line.

Dereham now have a derby match to look forward to at Mattishall, whose final chance of avoiding the drop surely disappeared at the weekend when they were well beaten at fellow strugglers Lowestoft.

They are now 49 points adrift of the safety positions, with just three matches left to play.

After arriving in Suffolk with just 10 players Mattishall decided to bat first after winning the toss - and they must have quickly regretted the decision.

They were dismissed for just 61, with Ed Webber's unbeaten 26 preventing an even bigger humiliation, as Craig Guy ripped through the visiting batting line-up with brilliant figures of 6-21 in 6.4 overs.

With rain around Town didn't waste any time in knocking off the runs required, reaching their target in the eighth over. After the early loss of Nathan Garrod the hosts cruised home, with Tom brice and Adam Savoury both finishing unbeaten on 23.

Mattishall A beat Old Catton by two wickets in Division Five as they successfully chased 234-6 while Dereham A (151) were well beaten by high-flying Horsford B (241-4), who clinched promotion as a result, in Division Six
