A last-minute goal cost play-off hopefuls Dereham a valuable point following a fine display.

The Magpies were ahead after just 10 minutes when Danny Beaumont stepped up and beat home keeper Callum Chafer with a well-directed free-kick from just outside the area.

Bowers equalised in the 32nd minute when Lewis Manor chased a long ball down the right and turned Ollie Ebbage before beating Elliot Pride and they went in front in the 40th minute when Ben Sartain superbly lobbed Pride from 25 yards.

Dereham equalised five minutes after the break with a well-worked goal – a great dummy by Jamie Forshaw let in Rhys Logan who squared to Sam Borrer who netted from close range.

But the Magpies were denied the point their performance deserved when Ebbage could only stab the ball back into his own net in the 89th minute. In added time Bowers Lewis Manor received a straight red while Forshaw also saw red after the final whistle for a second yellow for comments made to the referee.
