Dereham U15 league champions
Dereham Town U15 have been crowned league champions
They had to win against Mulbarton to finish ahead of Thorpe, and with a strong wind at their backs Dereham dominated the first period and had near-misses before Upton ran on to a through ball to put them ahead.
Laskey added a second before the break, heading in after Quirke's shot cannoned off the bar.
At the start of the second half Dereham weathered pressure and began to dominate by getting the ball on the ground to negate the effect of the wind.
Williams added a third goal to give Dereham a comfortable lead, and as the clock ran down they controlled the flow of the match, adding three more goals, Laskey scoring twice to complete his hat-trick and Howett scoring the final goal.
At the final whistle Dereham were presented with the league trophy and celebrated a fine season so far.
Sunday will see them attempt to complete the double when they contest the League Cup final against rivals Thorpe.
