Fakenham Evergreens 2nds travelled to Watton 3rds in the Norfolk Empresa Division Two ladies' hockey league for their final game of the season.

Evergreens fielded only 10 players, until injured Sue Murfit got kitted out by her team, broken finger and all.

Greens took control of the game having many chances and the first goal eventually came from great individual work by Dee Clipston for Katie Sammacicci to slot home. The second was before half-time with a team sequence with Charlotte Halgreen putting the ball past the keeper to make it 2-0.

Evergreen played a little off form at times, having to dig deep, letting the young Watton team run away but good defensive work by Trudi Moulton, Ann Mann and Katie Hewson held a solid back line, Watton couldn't break them down.

Evergreens would like to thank Dee Clipston for her help over the years and wish her well, moving with her career to Scotland.
