The Eastern Shotokan Karate Association held the first of this year's beginner gradings at Dereham Leisure Centre where the Coomber family took one step closer to achieving their black belts.

Lee, Natalie and their daughter Natasha, from Dereham (pictured), have been training with ESKA for three months and have really set the standard for the other beginners. All three achieved a 100 per cent pass rate with Lee and Natalie earning a rare distinction pass in their sparring and Natasha a distinction for her Kata (form).

Karate is a sport for all the family and the Coombers are now training hard and working towards their orange belt.

If you and your family are interested in karate classes, you can contact ESKA on 01603 418751 / 07860 554235 for further details or to book your free trial session.
