On Saturday Foulsham FC, whose first team play in Division Four of the Anglian Combination and whose reserves play in Division Three of the Crown Fire Central & South Norfolk League, invited AFC Hoxne from the Suffolk & Ipswich League for a friendly.
Despite pre-match rain the match went ahead, refereed by Bill Atlee.
With AFC Hoxne playing their reserve team and Foulsham having a mixture of first and reserve team players the game was end to end and very exciting for the neutral supporter.
Foulsham always seemed to have the lead, but with the finishing line in sight and Foulsham leading 4-3, AFC Hoxne scored two late goals to win.
On Saturday, Foulsham FC are playing Tooting FC from London and on August 16 Southbury FC, also from London, with whom they have forged a bond, having played friendlies for the past three years.
