Gallow power through to last 16

PUBLISHED: 16:30 21 February 2017 | UPDATED: 16:30 21 February 2017

Gallow Ladies A entertained Acle in a Triples League game. Gallow rarely gain points in this fixture but this match ended with a very different result from the one expected.

Gallow blocks skipped by Beryl Graver and Coralie Bell ended winners and Pam Whitehead’s block drew and the big points victory was very welcome.

The same team travelled to Norfolk Bowling Club, the league leaders, and managed just one point, Cheryl Lincoln, Mollie Bowyer and Pam Whitehead secured the only win.

The next round of the Mason KO Cup was played against County Arts. Winning meant that Gallow would reach the last 16 of a national competition. The home block won 23-10. The away block did not start well but only lost by six giving Gallow a 35-28 victory. Colchester are the next opponents on Thursday, March 2 at 1.30pm.

Ladies B played against leaders Roundwood Band won 75-30 for seven points.
