Dereham Wanderers U11 Girls are an amazing squad who keep training hard and improving. After finishing runners-up in their league last season, they have won it this campaign.

An unbeaten run of four games at the end of the season, which saw 22 goals scored against just three conceded, ensured title success and prompted victory celebrations at McDonalds.

Over 16 matches they won 13 and drew two, scoring 84 goals. Top scorer Lantie contributed just over half that total.

The team, managed by Marion Sandell, assisted by Lindsay Vallis, is chasing a double with the League Cup. And with five-a-side tournaments coming thick and fast there will be no shortage of action in the coming months.

They are looking to introduce a second team next season, and anyone wanting to join a successful team will be welcome. Go along to training on Wednesdays at 5pm at Dereham Northgate High School on the Astro pitch at the rear of the school.

Sponsors are being sought for a new training kit and matchday kit for next season.
