Dereham golfer Andrew Marshall goes into next week's Singha Thailand Open on the Asian Tour full of confidence after claiming an impressive victory in the Abu Dhabi Open.
The 35-year-old's putter was red hot as he pipped Swedish European Tour pro Steven Jeppesen to the title by one shot with a final hole birdie in front of a packed grandstand.
Marshall drained a 30-foot putt on the last in the last group to win after shooting rounds of 72 and 65 to finish on seven under par.
'I played steady but holed some very nice putts on the back nine. My putting made a huge difference. I had my putter flattened by two degrees so it suits my posture better,' said Marshall who hopes to carry this form through into the $500,000 Singha Thailand Open, which starts next Thursday (March 5) at the Laguna Phuket Golf Club.
