Horsford's dominance at Manor Park continued as they stopped Great Witchingham's fine start to the season in its tracks with a 40-run victory on Saturday.
Skipper Chris Brown once again played the key role in a Horsford home win, taking six wickets to bowl the visitors out for 83 in reply to the hosts' 123.
On a difficult day for batting, Horsford found themselves on 51-7, with Lance Shaw claiming three wickets, including the key scalps of Norfolk duo Jaik Mickleburgh and Brown.
But a lower order resurgence saw Jim Rice (21), Luke Caswell (17) and Richard Gilliat (24) help to add 72 for the last three wickets - a contribution that would prove crucial. Stuart Evans finally snuffed out the resistance, removing all three of them to finish with figures of 5-33.
Nathan Perry-Warnes struck an early blow for Horsford, removing Norfolk opener James Spelman before Witchingham had registered a run.
The visitors struggled to 24-3 before experienced duo Carl Rogers (23) and Shaun Arthurton (16) began to repair the damage.
But James Wild struck a significant blow for Horsford, removing Rogers with the score on 55 and from there, Brown took over, destroying the Witchingham middle order to finish with 6-27.
Evans and skipper Dennis Rogers briefly threatened a recovery with a last-wicket stand of 18, but Rice dismissed Evans to wrap up Horsford's first league win of 2008.
