Bradenham Wanderers 5, Bungay Town 1

THE Bulldogs, third in Anglian Combination Division One, dealt their bottom-of-the-table visitors a nap hand.

At Hale Road on Saturday, Bungay started in lively fashion with two free-kicks. The first came to nothing and the second was easily saved by Butters.

Play was largely confined to midfield for long periods with the visitors at times putting Wanderers under considerable pressure.

After 26 minutes Bradenham produced a constructive move on the left which ended with Seabright shooting over. A few minutes later Miller played a great ball in to Forder, who coolly slotted home to open the scoring.

However, on 38 minutes Bungay scored a deserved equaliser when Russell Tuffs headed home from a left-wing cross.

Just before half-time a dangerous-looking Bungay corner was well held by Butters.

On 52 minutes a Bush corner on the left was confidently headed home by King to give Bradenham the lead, and a few minutes later the same player headed over from another Bush corner.

The same two players had another chance each before Bush curved in a lovely cross round the left-back which was met by Forder, who expertly headed home.

This was by far the best goal of the game and for the first time Bradenham were able to breathe a little more freely.

Bungay produced the next threat on goal which Melton, who was having a fine game, cleared.

Hancy was next to get on the score sheet when he controlled a Frost cross before shooting home. With just a few minutes left Seabright scored with a cleanly-hit shot, and he nearly added another with a lovely chip, which beat the keeper but not quite the bar.

Bungay, for long periods of the game, did not look like a bottom-of-the-league side.
