Donna Vaughn returned from injury and scored four goals in this supreme performance by Dereham which resulted in a record East Hockey League Premier Division score.

Dereham, who are unbeaten, remain at the top of the league. The game started with Colchester competitive, but after the first goal went in nearly every shot ended with a goal.

Ex-England international and top scorer Evie Gardner scored six, Hannah Palmer three, Holly Allen and Kath Malvern one each.

The defence remained strong and smothered all Colchester's attempts on goal.

Dereham entertain Holcombe on Saturday, the team that defeated them twice last year in a match which could determine who wins the league.
