Watton II 3, Evergreens 3

Evergreens were put under pressure from the pushback.

Watton grabbed an early goal which forced Greens to up their game. They created some good scoring opportunities but it was Watton who scored.

Evergreens continued to work hard, which was rewarded with a great goal by Natasha Bates. But Watton quickly regained their goal difference.

Lizzy Walton made a great run down the right wing, putting in a fine cross which Katie Taylor converted.

With the scoreboard reading 3-2 at half-time to Watton, Evergreens were unfortunate not to capitalise on the number of short corners in the second half.

Naomi Holl worked tirelessly and eventually scored the equaliser following a great run.

Greens managed to hold off the Watton attack, getting a well-deserved point.

Evergreens II 0, Old Buckenham II 0

WITH several new additions to the seconds side, Evergreens played exceptionally well as a team on Saturday.

Evergreens had control of most of the game, giving their keeper little work to do in the second half.

Despite Evergreens' full efforts and great team play they could just not put the goal in the back of the net, despite dozens of chances.

With a solid defence (Trudi Moulton, Sue Murfit, Irene Lambert) Old Buckenham were kept at bay and Evergreens' midfield worked well together to create opportunities for the forward line.

Chantelle Baker had a brilliant game at right wing, beating the opposition with her sheer speed and skill.

Sadly, it was just not to be Evergreens' day and the result does not reflect that Evergreens were on top and deserved a win.

Reepham Ladies 5, Yarmouth II 0

AN impressive opening 20 minutes of attacking hockey from Reepham secured them maximum points.

Reepham's attacks were explosive as they gave Yarmouth no chance and were key to the end result.

Reepham worked the ball through the team with style and ease. Dawn Fisher found the net twice to capitalise on Reepham's dream start.

It was impossible for this pace to continue for the whole half and Reepham eased off a bit which allowed Yarmouth to start to find their feet. A solo goal from captain Katie Lake before half-time gave Reepham a deserved 3-0 lead.

Reepham absorbed a little more pressure in the second half but their defensive players coped well, determined to keep a clean sheet.

Lucy Cadge extended Reepham's lead with her first goal for the club. Her relentless runs down the left wing paid off when she was in a good position on the far post to hit home.

Carina Carter had a quiet game in goal for Reepham but could be relied upon to pull off a good save when needed. On her debut, Victoria Herbert was proving a handful for the Yarmouth defence, linking up well with Reepham' forwards.

Good link up play between Jane Proctor and Katie Lake found Lake in the circle to get on the end of her cross to glance the ball around the advancing keeper to score Reepham's fifth.

An overall awesome team performance from a strong Reepham side.
