SERVICE RECOGNISED: Mel Harbour, who has worked tirelessly at Mattishall FC for many years, is the Anglian Combination secretary of the year.

Harbour is retiring from the role. He has devoted countless hours to the club and was a pivotal cog in the wheel when Mattishall won the Norfolk Senior Cup last year.

He said: “It was very much a surprise but was a very much appreciated and one which I will always cherish. I will still be involved at Mattishall and want to wish the Anglian Combination committee every success in the forthcoming years in what can only be desribed as an extremely excellently-run league and one that is recognised throughout Norfolk football.”

He received the award from Anglian Combination chairman Graham Jubb at the league annual meeting (pictured below).
