League leader Neil Irons cruised past Jimmy Lovell 4-0 before Neil Bailes triumphed 3-1 over Watts despite a 15-dart leg by Watts.

There were 3-1 wins for Duncan Hewitt and Gary Harbour.

Irons was made to work hard for a 3-1 success over Starling and Watts inflicted a second whitewash of the night on Lovell.

Tom Head scrapped past Bailes 3-1 in a high quality encounter before Harbour produced a superb display, including the highest checkout of 100, to whitewash Hewitt in the evening's final match-up.

As the season reaches the halfway point Irons and Harbour look comfortable at the top of the table with Head, Bailes, Hewitt and Watts all will realistic hopes of reaching the play-offs.
