Knight double seals another victory for Yaxham FC
Yaxham 3, Thurton & Ashby 1
Yaxham came from a goal down to record another Central & South Norfolk League Division Two victory at Jubilee Park on Saturday.
The hosts welcomed Jason Knight back from his holidays and called up Stevie Garner and Kevin Pease from the reserves.
Thurton took a very early lead, but Yaxham set about getting level quickly. It didn't take long before a cross by skipper Matt Barden took a deflection that lobbed up and fell sweetly onto the right boot of Knight, who expertly volleyed into the bottom corner.
Yaxham came out for the second half with a bit more willingness. From a misplaced Thurton pass, Knight ran onto the ball and fired the ball into the net from 25 yards. Garner was brought on and he struck a 30-yard shot that the keeper pushed onto the post.
