THE Magpies bounced back from their weekend defeat by playing a winning nap hand against FA Vase finalists the Blues, who finished with 10 men on Tuesday night. Robbie Harris scored a hat-trick

Dereham made a confident start but Lowestoft tested Marshall in the eighth minute. He stretched to save Woodrow's drive, writes Rene Kendal.

Marshall then made a fantastic double stop to save Hunn's goal-bound left-footer and McKenna's close-range effort from the follow-up in the 17th minute.

For Dereham, Mudell's weak shot failed to trouble Rix in the visitors' goal, then Rix made a fine low save inside his near post from the same player.

Lowestoft launched a fluid three-man move in the 30th minute which ended with midfielder Woodrow firing at Marshall from 22 yards.

Hough was looking lively for the Blues and was denied twice by Marshall in the 29th minute.

Three minutes later, the Magpies won a corner on the left and Poppy handled Cullington's goalbound header on the line to receive a straight red card. Harris made no mistake from the spot.

In the 43rd minute, Dereham increased their lead when Nicky Howell broke down the right and crossed for Harris to slot home from close range. Within minutes the striker completed a first-half hat-trick.

From Terrington's cross he flicked the ball over a defender before blasting home at the near post.

In the second half Howell fired home from point-blank range following a scramble in the 65th minute.

McGee glanced a header wide from Hunn's free-kick as the Blues tried to make an impression.

Cedric Anselin unselfishly set up Mudell for a close-range miss before the midfielder slotted home Dereham's fifth in the 72nd minute, netting Harris' fine ball to the far post.
