Tuesday night's home defeat by Ely means the Magpies, among the favourites for this season's championship, have just one point from their opening two games.

Dereham's celebrations at having completed a comeback from 2-0 down with a last-minute equaliser were cut short when Robins' substitute Grant Robbins snatched a last-kick injury-time winner.

Robbie Mason put the visitors ahead from 25 yards just before the interval after a double save from home keeper John Higgs.

Richard Chadwick made it two on 70 minutes but Danny Beaumont struck twice in the last five minutes, the equaliser coming from the spot after Olly Willis had been brought down.

Tuesday night's defeat came on the heels of a 1-1 opening-day draw at Haverhill Rovers (match report on page 44.

Elsewhere Tuesday night, Wroxham lost 3-2 at Mildenhall, Norwich United lost 2-1 at Newmarket in the Premier Division (full results page 46.

In the First Division, Fakenham Town kicked off their campaign with a 1-0 defeat at Gorleston, Luke Goreham scoring in the first half.

The Ghosts had Karl Pask hit the woodwork, Nick Haynes flash a shot wide and Mark Betts denied a shot from a good position by a well-timed tackle.
