THE Magpies came from 3-1 down to beat Norwich United 6-3 in a thrilling Ridgeons Premier Division derby at Aldiss Park Tuesday night.
After Ollie Willis put Town in front the Planters turned the game on its head with a free-kick by Bradley Hoffman and further goals from Warren Preston and Nathan Thompson.
But Town were back in front before the break as Danny Beaumont's penalty was followed by a Simon Mowbray strike and a header from Graham Barrett.
And they sealed the game in the final quarter with a 25-yard volley from Nicky Howell and a sixth goal from Sam Willis.
The result kept Dereham in third placed ahead of Leiston, who won 5-1 at Mildenhall. Dereham entertain Leiston on March 14.

On Tuesday, Howell nearly opened the scoring for Dereham in the third minute when he shot inches over, writes Rene Kendal.
United's Bamment saw his powerful shot cannon off the crossbar.
Ollie Willis' attempted cross deceived keeper Pauling and found the net.
In the 27th minute Hoffman curled a superb free-kick around the home wall and into the goal.
Within minutes the visitors were in front with Warren Preston bundling home Frost's corner from the right.
From their next attack the Planters extended their lead as Thompson nodded home Ferguson's delivery from the left.
Dereham won a penalty in the 35th minute, with Ollie Willis being tripped by McGee. Beaumont hammered the ball home from the spot to reduce the deficit.
From a Terrington flag-kick, Mowbray turned before firing home a left-foot drive to make it 3-3. In the 42nd skipper Barrett headed home Terrington's deep free-kick to put the Magpies up at the break.
In the 50th minute Williams sliced an attempted clearance over the Derehambar.
After the non-stop goalmouth action in the first half, the wind grew even stronger, making conditions more difficult.
The Magpies had an opportunity to increase their advantage in the 75th minute when Atkins found himself in plenty of space in the box, but the striker shot over.
However, Dereham soon sealed the game when Howell drilled home a brilliant 25-yard volley after receiving Barrett's cushioned header following Beaumont's deep free-kick in the 78th minute.
The Magpies netted No 6 following a defensive mix-up which allowed Sam Willis to guide the ball home from close range.
