DEREHAM Town entertain Histon Reserves at Aldiss Park on Saturday (3pm) looking for a return to winning ways after losing by the only goal of the match at promotion hopefuls Needham Market at the weekend.

On Tuesday night (7.45pm) they are at home to another Ridgeons Premier top-four outfit, Kirkley & Pakefield.

Needham Market 1, Dereham Town 0

This game was settled by a 36h minute deflected shot from Needham's Danny Thrower, reported Ren Kendal.

The Magpies had an early opportunity but keeper Danny Gay made a good save to keep out Craig Terrington's close-range effort.

There were few chances in a disappointing first half until Dereham keeper John Higgs made a great save from Damian Hilton's point-blank header in the 35st minute. A minute later came the only goal of the game.

Dereham had more chances second half and played better when forward Ben Latimer was introduced, but did not really look like scoring until ex-King's Lynn keeper Gay made a superb save at the end of the match to keep out Adam Gusterson's close-range header.

Dereham Reserves top their Ridgeons section. On Saturday they had a 4-0 home win over Needham Market Reserves (Bond, Brien, Grove, Woodgate.)
