Golfer Andrew Marshall produced a strong finish in his latest Challenge Tour event to end up in a tie for 15th position, and earn a cheque for 2,100 Euros (around £1,600).

The Dereham professional made the cut in the Vodafone Challenge in Dusseldorf with little to spare but weekend rounds of 69 and 68 saw him shoot up the leaderboard. His eight under par total of 280 left him eight shots adrift of winner Richie Ramsay. Marshall is now 81st in the Challenge Tour rankings with 13,750 Euros in prize money to his name. Thetford's Lawrence Dodd failed to make the cut after rounds of 77 and 71.
