GOLF: Dereham's Andrew Marshall completed an excellent start to 2011 on Sunday when he tied for 18th position in the European Tour's Africa Open in East London.
Successive rounds of 69 at the weekend saw the professional finish with an 11 under par total of 281 to take him up into the top 50 in the early Race to Dubai standings.
Marshall, who improved his position with three birdies in the final four holes, picked up around �10,500 for his efforts. He will be playing most of his golf on the second tier Challenge Tour this season.
