Dereham Martial Arts Academy's second gradings of the year saw over 30 students awarded new belts in karate and kickboxing. In karate, Thomas Drewery and Callum Hardy-Sampson were awarded 8th Kyu orange belt and Tyler Cutbush obtained 7th Kyu yellow belt.

Dereham Martial Arts Academy's second gradings of the year saw over 30 students awarded new belts in karate and kickboxing.

In karate, Thomas Drewery and Callum Hardy-Sampson were awarded 8th Kyu orange belt and Tyler Cutbush obtained 7th Kyu yellow belt. Several mid grade promotions took place with Georgia Green, Claire Thorne, Charles Green, Chloe Thorne and Charlie Winter-Hall all passing 6th Kyu green belt; Tiffany Peel, Nick Green, Joshua Wyatt and Callum Peel passing 5th Kyu purple belt; and Cooper Hopcroft passing 4th Kyu purple/white stripe belt. In senior grades, Scott Gibbons was awarded 3rd Kyu brown belt, and Michael Curtis 2nd Kyu brown/white stripe belt.

Martin Pagett, Gina Saggers and Cayleigh Hannant, passed their 9th Kyu in kickboxing; Alan Rix, Nick Wahlstrand, Charles Green, Georgia Green, Tracie Cowell, Nick Green and Tyler Cutbush passed their 8th Kyu; and Steven Parkinson, Lucy Young and Joshua Wyatt passed their 7th Kyu. Kickboxing mid grade success was had by Jared Milligan, Tiffany Peel, Callum Peel and Scott Gibbons who all obtained 6th Kyu green stripes; and John Charley, Charlene Chappell and Liam Bradley who passed 4th Kyu blue stripe.

The previous week many of the students took part in a special event at Epic Studios in Norwich, where filming was undertaken to make a promotional video for the Academy.
