Dereham Town Ladies are ready to go up a level with a new kit and manager this season.
The team, based at Aldiss Park in the town, came third overall last season in the Norfolk Women's League and are hoping to get promotion into the Eastern Region League.
Sponsored by Dereham Taxis, the team has grown over the years and was last year taken over by Darren Pegrum, manager, who took over from his auntie Karen Whitehair.
Pegrum said: “We have all the foundations and players with abilities to win the league and get promoted. It's just a case of battling through the season to get there.
“We've got a new kit and new manager and it is a fresh start.”
The team were due to play the second friendly of the season on Tuesday against Hethersett and have another two friendlies lined up, against King's Lynn and Thorpe.
